Our

Maaaru Project

The Maaaru Project is a collaborative donation initiative between Maaaru (Japan) and Little Japan (Sri Lanka), created to support children with special needs. Maaaru took the lead in fundraising efforts, collecting generous donations aimed at improving educational facilities in Sri Lanka. Little Japan acted as the official representative and local partner responsible for managing and implementing the project on the ground. This project focused on upgrading infrastructure, learning spaces, and resources at schools for children with special needs. With dedication and teamwork, Little Japan has successfully developed and supported over 50 schools across the country. Maaaru’s donations were used to fund the construction, renovation, and improvement of various special education institutions. In addition to coordinating efforts, Little Japan also contributed its own donations to further enhance the impact of the project. The collaboration aims to ensure equal educational opportunities and a nurturing environment for every child, regardless of their abilities. By combining international support with local commitment, the project continues to make a lasting difference in communities across Sri Lanka. The Maaaru Project reflects the power of compassion, cross-border collaboration, and shared responsibility in building a more inclusive future.
